Now that I’ve updated my watch with Wear OS 3, I cannot pair it to my phone. What can I do?
If you have updated with Wear OS 3 and you cannot pair your watch with your phone, you can follow the instructions below:
- Ensure you are trying to pair your watch with TAG Heuer Connected app (and not Wear OS by Google app). TAG Heuer Connected app is the new app you must use for pairing.
- Ensure you have activated Bluetooth on your phone. If needed, disable and re-enable it.
- For iOS users only: on your phone, go to Settings > Bluetooth and tap on the information button next to your watch name, on the right-hand side. Then, tap on Forget This Device and confirm. This operation is required to avoid causing problems every time you begin a pairing process.
- Reset your watch to factory settings: if your watch is not paired yet (you cannot see a watchface yet on your watch):
a. Long-press the crown until the watch vibrates and opens the settings.
b. Tap on Disconnect and reset.
c. The watch will restart.
- On your phone, you can uninstall and install again TAG Heuer Connected app to start from the beginning. Once you have sign-in with the same account you used, you will retrieve all your data!
- To start the pairing from TAG Heuer Connected app on, you can open the Settings (bottom right corner) and scroll down to Pair a new watch.
- If you encounter any issue with the connection of your Google account:
1. Check your phone's internet connection.
2. If it is still not working, you can skip this step to finish the pairing process and follow the steps below to add it later.
3. When you get to a reliable Wi-Fi connection, open the TAG Heuer Connected app:
a. Check that the watch is connected:
b. Open the Settings (bottom right corner)
c. Tap on Add Google account
